The widest nordic touring ski made by Fischer, the S-Bound 112s have a generous parabolic 112-78-95 mm sidecut that provides both superior flotation in soft snow conditions and better downhill turnability in steeper terrain. These wider nordic touring skis are not made for travelling long distance over flat terrain, but for tours where the downhill performance is as important as the kilometres covered in a day. We recommend mounting these wider nordic touring skis with the Rottefella Xplore or a light 75 mm telemark binding to have better downhill control.

The S-Bound 112 Crown/Dual Skin Xtralite weigh in a 2.40 kg / pair (179 cm) and are built with a light wood core with air channels that reduce weight and have full steel edges for reliable grip in all snow conditions. These skis have a softer nordic camber than the narrower models, making turn initiation easier and providing superior downhill performance. Efficient glide is supplied by the Speed Grinding 2.0 stone ground finish for perfect glide in all snow conditions. 

The S-Bound 112 Crown/Dual Skin Xtralite have Fischer's waxless fishscale Offtrack Crown base for effective grip on the flat and when ascending moderate slopes.

In icy conditions or when climbing longer and/or steeper slopes you have a choice of clipping the short Easy Skins into the notch supplied at the front of the grip zone for additional grip, or using the full length Super Skins that attach using the tip notch. This combination of waxless base plus both short and full length skins ensures that you'll have the most effective climbing system however steep the terrain or long the climb, saving you energy and time when climbing. Please note these skins are not supplied with the skins and are available as accessories.
